Heidenheim signs Michael Heule from FC Thun. The 25-year-old left-back undergoes a medical check on Saturday and will be signed for a transfer fee of 2.75 million euros.
Heule will become the fourth most expensive signing in the club's history. Only Niklas Dorsch and twice Tim Kleindienst cost more. Heidenheim is currently 9th in the 2. Bundesliga table, after the team earned 26 points from 34 games in the previous season, with a record of 6 wins, 8 draws, and 20 losses.
Heule won the Swiss championship with Thun in the previous season, playing in 31 games, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists. Heidenheim lost 0-2 to FSV Mainz 05 in their last game and has a record of 2 wins and 2 losses in their last 4 games.
Heidenheim needs to replace loan player Hennes Behrens, who played as a regular starter for FCH in the previous second half of the season. The squad has two more options with Jonas Föhrenbach and Leart Paçarada. Heidenheim has scored 41 goals and conceded 72 goals this season, resulting in a negative goal difference of 31 goals.
