Heidenheim kicks off new season with positive vibe. The recently loaned goalkeeper Kevin Müller is on the verge of a permanent transfer to FC Schalke 04.

What happened?

The 2nd Bundesliga club Heidenheim announced at its first public training session before the new season that Kevin Müller will be leaving the club. Nick Rothweiler and the promoted Max Vogel are also free to negotiate with other clubs.

Why it matters

The relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga was a challenge for Heidenheim. But chairman Holger Sanwald is optimistic: „Given the strong finish of our team at the end of the last season and the great team spirit that pervades the entire club, a very positive mood is already palpable again.“

What comes next?

Heidenheim will undergo mandatory medical checks in the coming days. The FCH will play its first test match on Friday against a selection from Ellwangen.
